This semester has been very busy for me, with classes, works etc. Especially these last few weeks. But nowwwwwww I can turn my attention to Christmas shopping and holiday activities :D

But it's Christmas day today, so all shops are closed and no trains nor bus operates. Ohhhh! and all I'm doing is sitting here at Marathon House, London watching Kung Fu Panda waiting for time to pass by for Oxford Street tomorrow (Boxing Day!) and Bicester Village day after !!!

Oh wait! I went to Manchester and Liverpool for holiday earlier this week, nice cities but not much else to see. Old Trafford was awesome, and I enjoyed The Docks and museums in Liverpool ;

It's been almost a month since I arrived here in the city, where I will be staying for the duration of my studies at The University of Strathclyde. I have been so busy since I got here I only realized I never updated my blog with my arrival. Oh well, everything's great, the people here are very friendly, living 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre, 5 minutes to my University :D

Now that I'm going into my fourth week of study everything starting to become a routine. There goes my lazy-mazzie life, and hello, sleepless nights. A Retreat House in Kilmartin Glen, Scotland is really a challenging first studio project. An accommodation for 12 philosophers on a sloping site. Kilmartin Glen is a small town in Argyll (2 hours bus ride from Glasgow), blessed with some of the most beautiful and peaceful scenery in Scotland; Pre-historic architecture, standing stones, Parish Church, etc. amazing, amazing place!

It's really awkward and slow progress at first, to analyze and study a totally different culture, building typology, sun orientation, architecture here in Europe, as well as to focus more on the structural and technical aspects in designing but I've gained my momentum now and I hope to keep the momentum going! *ting*

Other than that, the weather is starting to change here. The wind is bitingly cold now and will get colder as we drift into winter, It's Scotland anyway! prepare for winter, coats and boots!

It's been awhile since I last update my blog, I've been really really busy with my preparation to further my study in Architecture at England (my flight is due in September). All the applications, student visa, fees and such. Not to mention Hari Raya preparation at the same time.

Unfortunately, this 'busy mode' will not end anytime soon. This is due to other things I gotta do such as looking for apartments in Glasgow, tarawih (especially this last ten days), have some shopping to do and yes! Hari Raya is just around the corner!

Insyallah if everything goes well, I'll be flying off to England on the 8th of September. Happy, excited but sad at the same time. I'm going to miss a lot of things here, well, home is where the heart is. I'm going to miss my family the most, and food! urm. Never mind, I'll cook :D

2 and half more weeks to goooooooooooooo....... :O

Well I don't have much to say today, just wanted to check in as I haven't written much about the past few days but congratulations abang for your new job at Singapore! 6 months and I guess it's not so long? yay? we will surely miss you so please come back often tau!

And It's so nice to see you all again, Atiqah, Maryam and Madno. Even though we didnt get to watch Transformers and Atiqah was late (hehe), we still had so much fun walking, talking, laughing, eating, desert-ing and not to forget, SHOPPING -spent almost RM400 on a skirt and a blouse ! blargh. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it :p

That's all? oh oh and I went to see sayang after at night for berbuka. yeah. That's it. That's all.

It's a very nice day indeed, alhamdulillah.

In the Muslim religion, women are advised to follow rules that at times may appear to clash with western standards of fairness and equality. However, if one looks into the rules and thinks with an uncritical eye, one will come to notice that everything Muslim women are told to do, ultimately benefits women.

In the Quran, it states " For Muslim men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise, for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward. (33:35)"

"The world and all things in it are valuable; but the most valuable thing in the world is a virtuous woman." -Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him.)"

If you are a Muslim female who feels that she has been lacking in her religious duties, it is not too late to turn that around, regardless of your age or what you have done.

STEPS

1) Understand that all shall be well. Allah forgives minor sins for He is All-Understanding and All-Forgiving. Even if you feel that you are already too deep ibecome the good Muslim that you truly are.

2) Discover whence the influences causing you to turn your back on your religion come. Maybe you can trace back the cause to either family situations or friends that are leading you in the wrong path.

3) If you are truly devoted to turning over a new leaf and becoming the best Muslim girl that you can be, you must wear the hijab. The hijab is not just a piece of cloth that covers hair, it changes you mentally and spiritually. Think of it as a way for Allah to protect the women. As soon as you wear the hijab, hopefully, your whole perspective on self-respect and values will automatically change.

4) Pray five times a day. But before you get on the prayer rug, learn what the prayer words mean. If you do not speak Arabic, try to find some translated versions of the prayer and take some time to read and understand what the words mean. After that, start making prayer a normal part of your day.

5) Read the Quran. Again, you can read it in English if you are not fluent in Arabic. Reading the Quran will help establish a useful relationship with Allah and will also allow you to understand how beautiful the religion is. Listening to it (you can find videos online) also makes you feel closer to Allah.

6) Learn more about Islam. Know what you have to do (which is called 'wajib' things) and what you can't do (haram things).

7) Try to allocate a minimum amount of time each day to Islamic activities - for example four hours split between salah, Quran and Islamic studies will enable you to build up your relationship with Allah swt and make good progress with acquiring knowledge. Remember that the 5 fard salah are your top priority and you should form the framework of your daily routine around these.

8) Dress modestly. Wear longer shirts and avoid tank tops and shorts. Stay away from clothes that are too tight. Remember that it is obligatory to cover the whole body except the face and hands, which are recommended but not obligatory. This also helps you to change your whole outlook on what is acceptable and what is not.

9) Hang out with good friends; going with the theme you may want to make friends who share your mission of being a good Muslim.

10) Avoid negative influences, including old friends (as hard as it may be, the reward is well worth it) who may have had a bad influence or who bring out the negative characteristics in you. We all have the Shaitan (devil) in us, but it is our responsibility as Muslims to fight these temptations and urges by increasing our faith and spirituality.

11) Forgive yourself for any sins you may have committed. You need to let go of past mistakes and work on improving the future. Whatever has happened is done. It is in the past and there is nothing you can do to change it or better it. The only thing you can do is forgive yourself or use those negative experiences as motivation to get better and do good.

12) Notice where your weaknesses are and avoid them.

13) Take it day by day. If you make it a priority in your mind that you want to strive to be the best Muslim girl possible, you will achieve this goal without even realizing it! Every time you are about to do something, think: "Is this something good or religious?" If it isn't, don't do it! Simply remind yourself and be ready to stop yourself, just in case. Every single moment of every day must be devoted to providing pleasure for Allah swt.

I have the most amazing and wonderful boyfriend, he's always there for me, listens to me when I have a problem. asks me what's wrong when I look sad. he stays by my side when everyone else runs. he makes me laugh when I want to cry and makes me smile when I want to frown. Very caring and loving.

The first time I ever heard of him was about 9 years ago (2002), from my sister (he's my sister's former classmate), they were both 2 years older senior in school. I knew him only through the stories that my sister told -I know where he lives, some of his favorite, etc. She was constantly telling me and my family about him for years. So when I were in form 3, my sister told me that he's not in school anymore, he's sick and lapsed into a coma for 3 days. But what type of sickness? Is he really that bad? And people even told me that he sat for his SPM examination at home or so.

So, I have not heard anything about him for years, not even from my sister. Until he added me on facebook (2008) and started talking to me in 2009. He's the one who always starts the conversation on fb chat / messages with me, asked me about my study, family, my day and so on. I am not interested in him at first, not at all, but it just goes on and on, from fb to msn, to skype. A year later, 2010, he asked me if I liked him and would wait for him to come back to Malaysia -He's studying property in London. And I said YES !

A year has passed, without us even noticing it. 12 of the most fabulous months of my life. He is my strength, my soul, my absolute everything. He's been diagnosed with Lupus but I love this man more than life itself, I am learning more about Lupus disease by volunteering in Persatuan SLE Malaysia as well as reading lot of info bout it, from diet to stress to med and sunlight. Accompany him to doctor's appointments -whenever I could, remind him everyday to take his meds., asked him to sleep on time and rest. But if he can live with this every day, and still be such a warm, loving, kind-hearted man, I can't complain, and I will never give up hope for a cure.

His strength, courage, acceptance, and loving spirit inspire me every day!

I thank Allah for him.

when everyone on earth sleeps, I begin my work- the works that I don’t have any idea when it will finish. Night time and the time have just begun - yes, I am an architecture student.

But it goes on and on. Sun rises and I am still awake trying to hold the model which I have been constructing throughout the night. My room is messed up. There are all pieces of papers, boards and glues thrown everywhere (Uhu). I don’t have any idea when I changed my playlist for the last time. Eyes have its eye lids darkened. And there is a lot more work to do before I make myself in front of my class for the critiques. Sleeeppyyyyyy.....BUT as an architecture student, I tend to sleep best in any condition, right archi-fellas? sleep in a day in LRT (standing!), in a car, library, on the floor, etc. whenever we got a chance. No wonder people end up with words like Archinnovative, archidesign, AND ARCHITORTURE.

It all started. 4 years ago, when I began my Diploma in Architecture Studies in ALFA. Of all good courses available on earth, I chose to study architecture. Now, here I am at ATSA Architects, doing my practical/ work placement and I am in my last month. HAH? WHAT? WOW! 6 months and I'm almost done?

Here, I've learned so much and so many skills from the people I've worked with. From sites to papers to sketch to plans and 3d, from proposed design to tender/ contract to submissions and construction. Architects get trained as creative individuals. We are taught to live by reasons and logic. And architecture continues to flow. It is endless.

I believe every Architects have their own identity like Zaha Hadid-an architect who is nothing if not imaginative, nothing if not unorthodox or Antonio Gaudi who his works always enchanted me, he seemed to my child’s eyes the architect of the world of the fairies, or Herzog & de Meuron who both carry the philosophy of "organic architecture" in their designs. Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Kahn, Le Corbusier, Renzo Piano, Tadao Ando, etc. are all equal. We don't have to be someone else or copy someone else's design to be special, Architects are special. We are special. I am. You are.

Oh, Do you know there is a direct link between architecture and a good mood? most agree that good architectural design allows for positive relationships and social interaction between people and buildings, and the spaces they inhabit. They called it Building Happiness, because Architecture is always about people, agree?

Anyway, I think you people should watch it! You will love this TV show because it is nothing like the other TV series you’ve had seen. It is really hilarious! The fact that I got upset so easily would then make me more upset and it would just be some sort of horrible snowball effect. grrr..! Is that what you call overly sensitive? Anyhow, Aariz's cukur jambul and berendoi (last Saturday) went well, Alhamdulillah. He's the cutest thing on earth! those big adoring round eyes and his cheeks, gahh~ I kiss and pinch his cheeks all the time (oh, and sometimes bite em' too)..its too yummeehhh!

8PM, i was driving back home from office then my blackberry rang and bb messages from Apiq came in, as i read it while driving with my blurry eyes, he asked me what day it was. I replied, its Monday my dear. He asked me the exact same question 5-10 minutes prior. I am extremely worried, as time pass by, he forget almost everything i tell him and things that had happened to him today.

He's sick, but he's a very strong man and sweet. He's a good listener, a joker, a wonderful son and brother, a beautiful partner. He's a good person with a good heart, he's the kind of person who will sacrifice his happiness to others.

I still don't know what causes his memory loss. What i know now is, I am very sad for him to experience this whole thing. I cried, I can't stop my tears- asking for Allah's help and guide, I pray and I know I need to stay strong for him and I am trying my best. I didn't expect this to suddenly happen to him. He deserve happiness in life, why him? let me be the one, Ya Allah, let me be the one.

"Be strong, my dear, for you are not well right now but i believe you will smile, laugh and pinch my cheeks again. Chin up, my love, you have dozens of friends and a lovely family who'll always support you and give their very best. You barely can remember, but you can still smile. we should not care about our races,

nor what's our status,

it doesn't matter whether it was Aidilfitri or Chinese New Year,

Gongxiraya or Deeparaya,

whether you'll get ang pau or qing pau (green packets),

eat rendang, kiam chai theng or curry,

lives in a kampung or city,

normal people nor celebrity,

play kites or PSP,

it doesn't matter where you study,

oversea or locally,

most importantly,

together we should stand as a family.

Being a Malaysian,

It doesn't matter what language are we using,

what accent are we talking,

Which mamak stall were you in,

watching football or doing nothing,

it doesn't matter how you travelling,

by LRT, walking or driving,

we should be thankful to be in this country,

at least there's no people dying,

for a better tomorrow, we need to stop dreaming,

Doa & Kisah Nabi Ayub

"Ya Allah, tidak ada kemudahan kecuali sesuatu yang Engkau permudahkan, Engkau menjadikan kedukaan itu mudah sekiranya Engkau kehendaki"

KISAH NABI AYUB

Nabi Ayub as digambarkan seorang manusia yang paling sabar, bahkan dikatakan bahawa beliau berada di puncak kesabaran. Nabi Ayub menjadi simbol kesabaran dan cermin kesabaran atau tauladan kesabaran pada setiap bahasa, pada setiap agama, dan pada setiap budaya. Allah SWT telah memujinya dalam kitab-Nya yang berbunyi:

“Sesungguhnya Kami dapati dia (Ayub) seorang yang sabar. Dialah sebaih-baik hamba. Sesungguhnya dia amat taat (kepada Tuhannya).” (QS. Shad: 44)

Yang dimaksudkannya ialah kembali kepada Allah SWT. Nabi Ayub adalah seseorang yang selalu kembali kepada Allah SWT dengan zikir, syukur, dan sabar. Kesabarannya menyebabkan beliau memperoleh keselamatan dan rahsia pujian Allah SWT padanya.

Al-Qur’an al-Karim tidak menyebutkan bentuk penyakitnya, dan banyak cerita-cerita dongeng yang mengemukakan tentang penyakitnya. Dikatakan bahawa beliau terkena penyakit kulit yang dahsyat sehingga manusia-manusia enggan untuk mendekatinya. Lalu, bagaimanakah hakikat sakitnya Nabi Ayub dan bagaimana kisahnya?

Yang popular tentang dugaan Nabi Ayub dan kesabarannya adalah riwayat berikut: para malaikat di bumi berbicara sesama mereka tentang manusia dan sejauh mana ibadah mereka. Salah seorang di antara mereka berkata: “Tidak ada di muka bumi ini seorang yang lebih baik daripada Nabi Ayub. Beliau adalah orang mukmin yang paling baik, orang mukmin yang paling agung keimanannya, yang paling banyak beribadah kepada Allah SWT dan bersyukur atas nikmat-nikmat-Nya dan selalu berdakwah di jalan-Nya.” Syaitan mendengarkan apa yang dikatakan lalu ia merasa terganggu dengan hal itu. Kemudian ia pergi menuju ke Nabi Ayub untuk cuba menggodanya tetapi Nabi Ayub adalah seorang Nabi di mana hatinya dipenuhi dengan ketulusan dan cinta kepada Allah SWT sehingga syaitan tidak mungkin mendapatkan jalan untuk mengganggunya.

Ketika syaitan berputus asa dari mengganggu Nabi Ayub, ia berkata kepada Allah SWT: “Ya Rabbi, hamba-Mu Ayub sedang menyembah-Mu dan menyucikan-Mu namun, ia menyembah-Mu bukan kerana cinta, tapi ia menyembah-Mu kerana kepentingan-kepentingan tertentu. Ia menyembah-Mu sebagai balasan kepada-Mu kerana Engkau telah memberinya harta dan anak dan Engkau telah memberinya kekayaan dan kemuliaan. Sebenarnya dia ingin menjaga hartanya, kekayaannya, dan anak-anaknya. Seakan-akan pelbagai nikmat yang Engkau kurniakan padanya adalah rahsia dalam ibadahnya. Dia takut jika apa yang dimilikinya akan binasa dan hancur. Oleh kerana itu, ibadahnya dipenuhi dengan hasrat dan rasa takut. Jadi, di dalamnya bercampur antara rasa takut dan tamak, dan bukan ibadah yang murni kerana cinta.”

Riwayat tersebut menyatakan bahwa Allah SWT berkata kepada iblis: “Sesungguhnya Ayub adalah hamba yang mukmin dan sejati imannya. Ayub menjadi teladan dalam keimanan dan kesabaran. Aku membolehkanmu untuk mengujinya dalam hartanya. Lakukan apa saja yang engkau inginkan, kemudian lihatlah hasil dari apa yang engkau lakukan.”

Akhirnya, syaitan pergi dan memasuki ladang Nabi Ayub yang penuh dengan pelbagai tanaman dan kenikmatan yang dimilikinya. Kemudian syaitan itu menghancurkan kesemuanya. Keadaan Nabi Ayub pun berubah dari puncak kekayaan ke puncak kefakiran/ kemiskinan. Kemudian syaitan menunggu apakah tindakan Nabi Ayub. Nabi Ayub berkata: “Oh musibah dari Allah SWT. Aku harus mengembalikan kepada-Nya amanah yang ada di sisi kami di mana Dia mengambilnya pada saat ini. Allah SWT telah memberi kami nikmat selama beberapa ketika. Maka segala puji bagi Allah SWT atas segala nikmat yang diberikannya, dan Dia mengambil kesemuanya dari kami pada hari. Segala puji bagi-Nya sebagai Pemberi dan Pengambil. Aku dalam keadaan redha dengan keputusan Allah SWT. Dia-lah yang mendatangkan manfaat dan mudharat. Dia-lah yang redha dan Dialah yang murka. Dia adalah Penguasa. Dia memberikan kerajaan kepada siapa yang di kehendaki-Nya, dan mencabut kerajaan dari siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya; Dia memuliakan siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya dan menghinakan siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya.” Kemudian Nabi Ayub sujud dan Iblis tercengang melihat apa yang berlaku.

Lalu syaitan kembali kepada Allah SWT dan berkata: “Ya Allah, jika Ayub tidak menerima nikmat kecuali dengan mengatakan pujian, dan melalui musibah hanya dengan kesabaran maka dia menyembah Allah mungkin semata-mata kerana anak-anaknya, bukan kerana cinta pada Allah. Dengan memberikan mereka kekayaan yang banyak supaya dapat menjalani kehidupan yang lebih mudah.” Riwayat menyatakan bahawa Allah SWT membolehkan syaitan untuk berbuat apa saja kepada anak-anak Ayub. Kemudian syaitan menggoncangkan rumah yang di situ anak-anaknya tinggal sehingga mereka semua terbunuh. Dalam keadaan demikian, Nabi Ayub menyeru: “Allah memberi dan Allah mengambil. Segala pujian bagi-Nya kerana memberi dan mengambil, saat Dia murka dan redha, saat Dia mendatangkan manfaat dan mudharat." Kemudian Ayub pun sujud dan iblis tercengang dan merasa malu.

Iblis kembali menemui Allah SWT dan mengatakan bahwa Ayub dapat bersabar kerana badannya sihat. Seandainya Engkau memberi kekuasaan kepadaku, ya Rabbi, untuk mengganggu badannya nescaya dia akan berhenti dari kesabarannya. Riwayat menyatakan bahawa Allah SWT menginzinkan syaitan untuk mengganggu tubuh Ayub. Dikatakan bahawa syaitan memukul tubuh Nabi Ayub dari kepalanya sampai ke kakinya sehingga Nabi Ayub sakit kulit di mana tubuhnya membusuk dan mengeluarkan nanah, bahkan keluarganya dan sahabat-sahabatnya meninggalkannya kecuali isterinya. Namun Nabi Ayub tetap bersabar dan bersyukur kepada Allah SWT. Beliau memuji-Nya pada ketika dia sihat dan dia tetap memuji Allah SWT saat mendapat ujian sakit. Dalam dua keadaan itu, Nabi Ayub tetap bersabar dan bersyukur kepada Allah SWT.

Melihat pemandangan itu, amarah syaitan semakin meningkat namun ia tidak mengetahui apa yang harus dilakukannya. Di sini syaitan mengumpulkan para penasihatnya dari pakar-pakar dan menceritakan tentang kisah Ayub dan meminta mereka mengeluarkan pendapat dan menyampaikan rasa putus asanya menggoda Nabi Ayub atau mencuba menghilangkan sifat sabar dan syukurnya.

Salah seorang syaitan berkata: “Sesungguhya engkau berjaya mengeluarkan Adam dari syurga dan terhasilnya kejadian manusia, lalu bagaimana ia berlaku?" , "Oh, yang engkau maksudkan adalah Hawa?” Terbukalah pada Iblis suatu idea yang baru. Lalu ia pergi kepada isteri Ayub dan menghasut hatinya dengan rasa putus asa sehingga isterinya pergi kepada Ayub dan berkata padanya: “Sampai bilakah Allah SWT akan menyeksamu? Di manakah harta, keluarga, teman dan kaum kerabat? Di mana masa jayamu dan kemuliaanmu dahulu?”

Mendengar perkataan isterinya itu, Nabi Ayub menjawab: “Sesungguhnya engkau telah dikuasai oleh syaitan. Mengapa engkau menangisi kemuliaan yang telah berlalu dan anak yang telah mati?” Perempuan itu berkata: “Mengapa engkau tidak berdoa kepada Allah agar Dia menghilangkan dugaan darimu dan menyembuhkanmu serta menghilangkan kesedihannmu?” Nabi Ayub berkata: “Berapa lama kita merasakan kebahagiaan?” Isterinya menjawab: “Lapan tahun.” Ayub berkata: “Berapa lama kita mendapat penderitaan?” Isterinya menjawab: “Tujuh tahun.” Ayub berkata: “Aku malu jika aku meminta agar Allah SWT melepaskan penderitaanku ketika aku melihat masa kebahagiaanku. Sesungguhnya imanmu nampaknya lemah dan takdir Allah SWT membuat hatimu menjadi sempit. Seandainya aku sembuh dan kembali kepada kekuatanku, nescaya aku akan memukulmu dengan seratus kali pukulan menggunakan tongkat. Mulai hari ini, aku tidak akan memakan makanan darimu dan minuman darimu atau memerintahkanmu untuk melakukan suatu urusan. Maka pergilah kau dariku.”

Akhirnya, isteri Nabi Ayub pergi sehingga Nabi Ayub tinggal sendirian dalam keadaan sabar menanggung penderitaanya. Penderitaan yang seandainya ditimpakan kepada gunung nescaya gunung tidak akan mampu menahannya. Kemudian Nabi Ayub berdoa kepada Allah SWT dalam keadaan penuh kasih sayang dan meminta belas kasih kepada-Nya. Beliau berdoa agar Allah SWT menyembuhkannya. Dan akhirnya, doanya dikabulkan oleh Allah SWT. Demikianlah riwayat yang dinyatakan berkenaan dengan penderitaan Nabi Ayub dan kesabarannya.

Allah SWT berfirman:

“Dan (ingatlah kisah) Ayub ketika ia menyeru Tuhannya: (’Ya Tuhanku), sesungguhnya aku telah ditimpa penyakit dan Engkau adalah Tuhan Yang Maha Penyayang di antara semua penyayang.’ Maka Kami pun memperkenankan seruannya itu, lalu Kami lenyapkan penyakit yang ada padanya dan Kami kembalikan keluarga kepadanya, dan Kami lipat gandakan bilangan mereka, sebagai suatu rahmat dari sisi Kami dan untuk menjadi peringatan bagi semua yang menyembah Allah.” (QS. al-Anbiya’: 83-84)

Kita telah memahami bahwa Nabi Ayub adalah hamba yang soleh dari hamba-hamba Allah SWT. Allah SWT menguji dalam hartanya, keluarganya, dan badannya. Hartanya hilang sehingga dia menjadi orang fakir sedangkan sebelumnya dia tergolong di dalam orang yang paling kaya. Kemudian dia ditinggalkan isterinya dan keluarganya sehingga dia merasa kesunyian dan bersendirian lalu dia ditimpa penyakit dalam tubuhnya dan dia merasa menderita, tetapi beliau tetap sabar menghadapi semua itu dan tetap bersyukur kepada Allah SWT.

Sakit yang dideritanya cukup lama sehingga beliau menghabiskan waktu-waktu dan hari-harinya dalam keadaan sendirian bersama penyakitnya, rasa sedihnya, dan kesendiriannya. Demikianlah Nabi Ayub merasakan tiga segi penderitaan. Tiga segi penderitaan dalam hidupnya, iaitu sakit, kesedihan, dan bersendirian. Di saat beliau mendapat dugaan seperti itu, pada suatu hari datang kepada beliau salah satu hasutan syaitan. Fikiran itu berputar-putar di dalam hatinya; hasutan itu berbunyi, "wahai Ayub, penyakit ini dan penderitaan yang engkau rasakan oleh kerana godaaan dariku. Seandainya engkau berhenti bersabar dalam satu hari sahaja nescaya penyakitmu akan hilang darimu." Kemudian manusia-manusia berbisik-bisik dan berkata: Seandainya Allah SWT mencintainya nescaya dia tidak akan merasakan penderitaan yang begitu hebat. Demikianlah hasutan yang jahat itu. Syaitan tidak mampu untuk mengganggu seseorang kecuali dengan izin Allah SWT sebagaimana Allah SWT tidak menjadikan cinta-Nya kepada manusia dengan menduga kesihatan mereka. Sesungguhnya Allah SWT menguji mereka sebagaimana yang dikehendaki-Nya.

Hasutan syaitan itu berlegar di sekitar fikiran Nabi Ayub seperti berlegarnya lalat di musim panas di sekitar kepala manusia, namun beliau mampu menghilangkan fikiran ini sambil tersenyum kepada dirinya beliau berkata: “Keluarlah hai syaitan! Sungguh aku tidak akan berhenti bersabar, bersyukur, dan beribadah.” Akhirnya, fikiran jahat itu dengan rasa putus asa keluar dari akal Nabi Ayub. Nabi Ayub duduk dalam keadaaan marah kerana syaitan berani mengganggunya. Beliau membayangkan bahawa syaitan berani menggodanya dengan memanfaatkan kesendiriannya, penderitaannya, dan penyakitnya.

Isteri Nabi Ayub datang semula kepada Nabi Ayub dan mendapati Nabi Ayub dalam keadaan marah. Isterinya itu menutupi kepalanya dengan suatu kain tertutup. Isteri Nabi Ayub menghidangkan makanan yang sedap untuknya. Nabi Ayub bertanya padanya: “Dari mana engkau mendapati wang?” Nabi Ayub telah bersumpah akan memukulnya seratus kali pukulan dengan tongkat selepas beliau sembuh, tetapi kesabarannya sangat luas seperti sungai yang besar. Dan di waktu petang, setelah mengetahui kehalalan makanan yang dihidangkan, beliau pun memakannya. Kemudian Nabi Ayub keluar menuju ke gunung dan berdoa kepada Tuhannya.

Allah SWT berfirman:

“Dan ingatlah akan hamba Kami Ayub ketika ia menyeru Tuhannya: ‘Sesungguhnya aku diganggu syaitan dengan kepayahan dan seksaan.’ (Allah berfirman): ‘Hantamkanlah kakimu; inilah air yang sejuk untuk mandi dan untuk minum. Dan Kami anugerahi dia (dengan mengumpulkan kembali) keluarganya dan (Kami tambahkan) kepada mereka sebanyak mereka pula sebagai rahmat dari Kami dan pelajaran bagi orang-orang yang mempunyai fikiran. Dan ambillah dengan tanganmu seikat (rumput), maka pukullah dengan itu dan janganlah kamu melanggar sumpah. Sesungguhnya Kami mendapati dia (Ayub) seorang yang sabar. Dialah sebaik-baik hamba. Sesungguhnya dia sangat taat (hepada Tuhannya).” (QS. Shad: 41-44)

Allah SWT memerintahkan beliau untuk mandi di salah satu mata air di gunung. Allah SWT memerintahkannya agar beliau minum dari mata air ini. Kemudian Nabi Ayub melaksanakan perintah ini dan mandi serta minum. Belum lama beliau minum pada tegukan yang terakhir sehingga beliau merasakan sihat dan sembuh sepenuhnya dari penyakitnya. Kemudian suhu panas dalam tubuhnya pun kembali seperti biasa. Allah SWT memberikan kepada Ayub dan keluarganya seperti mereka suatu rahmat dari sisi-Nya sehingga Nabi Ayub tidak kembali sendirian. Allah SWT memberinya berlipat-lipat ganda kekayaan dan kemuliaan dari sisi-Nya sehingga Ayub tidak menjadi fakir.

Nabi Ayub kembali mendapatkan kesihatannya setelah lama merasakan penderitaan dan sakit; Nabi Ayub bersyukur kepada Allah SWT. Beliau telah bersumpah untuk memukul isterinya sebanyak seratus pukulan dengan tongkat setelah beliau sembuh. Sekarang beliau sembuh maka Allah SWT mengetahui bahawa beliau tidak bermaksud untuk memukul isterinya. Namun agar beliau tidak sampai melanggar janjinya dan sumpahnya, Allah SWT memerintahkannya agar segera mengumpulkan seikat ranting dari bunga Raihan yang berjumlah seratus dan hendaklah beliau memukul itu kepada isterinya dengan sekali pukulan. Dengan demikian, beliau telah memenuhi sumpahnya dan tidak berbohong. Allah SWT membalas kesabaran Ayub dan memujinya dalam Al-Qur’an sebagaimana firman-Nya:

“Sesungguhnya Kami dapati dia (Ayub) seorang yang sabar. Dialah sebaik-baik hamba. Sesungguhnya dia amat taat (kepada Tuhannya).” (QS. Shad: 44)

1 I AM GRADUATING SOON! wooohoooo! Can you believe it! can you? i can't!! I've gotta do stuff when I graduate, you know...be things. Some people might say that you don't have to graduate to be things but YES I do! that's why we spent so much money on this! but of course, I need to do my six month internship first but ah, I am graduating anyway! :)
Seriously guys. The following is a list of future accomplishments:

It's a loonnngggggggg way to go but I am pretty sure it'll be worth waiting for.

2 As I'm feeling thankful for what i have, I am thankful for who i have in life as well, he's a great great man, he's more than wonderful, more wonderful than my mind can conceive, more wonderful than my heart can believe, He goes beyond my highest hopes and fondest dreams. He's amazing! We celebrated birthdays together, we had fun playing board games together, we went shopping, photographing, we enjoyed walking, laughing, cooking even terawikh together. He brought me closer to Allah, we both are, reminding each other of Allah's command. He's there to share, to care. I just simply love him, for who he is, some people might think he's not perfect but he's just perfect for me. he's just awesome. And to have him in my not-so-awesome life? gah, I am glad and thankful. Hopefully everything goes well between us, insyallah. And to you Apiq, be strong sweetheart, i know you are. Maybe Allah has a bigger plan for you than you had for yourself. Remember that I'm here, and will always be here.

3 A very long holiday indeed, before I started my internship, I just simply do nothing at home other than fasting :) but I'm glad, I get to do some house work, cook cook cook, shopping for my room (ah! my room looks brand-new and it's naaaaaiiiisssssss), and started my jewelry selling at www.thebeadstone.blogspot.com. Other than that, playing kite and Frisbee is my new thing! it's new-soon-to-be-my-favorite-thing-to-play-every-evening-activity! LOL!

Ah! It's Monday again, it always seems to be here all too soon. I just wanna snuggle deeper into my quilts and hide my eyes away from the light streaming through the curtains and want to chuck the alarm clock in the sea!

My exams had ended, so I have one week holidays now, but for some reasons, I'm not really happy? I wasn't even relieved...hurrrmmmmmm OH! OKAY! that's because I do have "SOME" assignments to do! eleh, just few sketches and some boring stuff, a design report, model, plan/section/elevation and detailing drawings, proper spacing, section drawings, model, did i mention that already?

In times like these, it’s easy to feel depressed. Spend hours of time eating chocolates, drinking vitagen and browsing around but.....still feeling hopeless?? yeaaappp in fact, I can't even think of a freaking stupid idea right now. I mean, I can't think of ANYTHING right now.

and Yes, assignments are making me fat. and broke. and I don't know which one is worse.

Asthma is a predisposition to chronic inflammation of the lungs in which the airways (bronchi) are reversibly narrowed. Asthma affects a total of 300 million people worldwide. During asthma attacks (exacerbations of asthma), the smooth muscle cells in the bronchi constrict, the airways become inflamed and swollen, and breathing becomes difficult. This is often referred to as a tight chest and is a sign to immediately take medication.

Okay, Do you know that asthma is the third most common cronic childhood disease? affecting more than 1 in 20 children and asthma causes 4,000 deaths a year in the United States?

I suffer from asthma [Moderate persistent]. I had asthma since I was about 5-6 years old. It's hard not to be successful in getting asthma under control. It's hard to breath, I know.
This is not a sympathy post. but no one really knows the causes of asthma and the causes of asthma symptoms can vary for different people. That's why we need people to understand and gain awareness to help us :) May 4, 2010, Tuesday will be the World Asthma Day 2010 and the theme for this year is "You Can Control Your Asthma". HOW?

Asthma is caused by environmental and genetic factors, which can influence how severe asthma is and how well it responds to medication. Some environmental and genetic factors have been confirmed by further research, while others have not been;

1) Environmental tobacco smoke, especially maternal cigarette smoking, is associated with high risk of asthma prevalence and asthma morbidity, wheeze, and respiratory infections.

2) Low air quality, from traffic pollution or high ozone levels.

3) Psychological stress has long been suspected of being an asthma trigger, but only in recent decades has convincing scientific evidence substantiated this hypothesis. Rather than stress directly causing the asthma symptoms, it is thought that stress modulates the immune system to increase the magnitude of the airway inflammatory response to allergens and irritants.

4) Dust, etc. etc.

If you or a loved one has asthma, it’s important to understand the many asthma triggers. Once you identify and reduce exposure to the specific triggers or causes of asthma, you can take an active role in controlling your asthma and reducing the frequency of asthma attacks. For example, if you find that allergies are the cause of your asthma, you may have allergic asthma. Being aware of allergies and avoiding them can significantly help in asthma prevention by reducing the frequency or severity of asthma attacks.

Or if environmental pollution seems to cause your asthma, it’s important to stay indoors during periods of heavy air pollution. Try to find the specific triggers or causes of your asthma, and then plan to avoid these triggers and have better asthma control.

"Saya Nak Cuti’ is a competition jointly organized by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and Astro Ria. It offers the public a chance to vie for their dream vacation to any destination within the ASEAN region.

All you have to do is send in 4R sized photos of yourself and write an essay in not more than 350 words describing ‘Why you should win this dream holiday’. You can choose to nominate anyone including yourself for this dream holiday. All entries should be sent to www.mastraveller.com before the closing date on 31st January 2010.

20 contestants will be short-listed and details will be uploaded to their personal microsite on www.mastraveller.com. The contestants will also be given a chance to write their own blog and interact with viewers online through their microsite to garner votes.

ROUGH PATCH

Sometimes in the darkest dark, I think I'm all alone. I think that no one could possibly know: that no one could possibly care, understand, feel, or share any of the feelings I'm having, but that's just not true. Those thoughts are mistaken. It is then that I need to turn to someone who is there. Someone who knows and understands. If I can't find them in person, I will try to find them in a book.

I will crawl if I can't walk, claw myself there if I have to and when I get there, I'll stay until I know that I'm not alone. I'll stay there and gather some strength, there's something I need to do. I'll stay and start searching, there's something I've got to find, I've got to find my value. I've got to find my worth. I've got to know that I'm matter.

How do I get through that? I'll tell myself that I'm not alone, and the hurting can stop, maybe not as fast as I like, but it can and will stop. Hold on tight with their hands: family and friends. Hold on as hard as I can, don't let go. They might not be standing right there with me physically, but I know they are right next to me in spirit. I've been through my own darkness, and I've watched others through theirs.

I should stop and rethink. To take my power back, to take the first step towards seeing my value.

Believing that we all fit in and we all experience the same pain, and we are all connected. It's just different shades, different angles, different depths, but it's all there...all shared.

To find that connection, to start that journey, I have to find the part inside me that I've been ignoring. The part that holds the beauty and is waiting patiently for me to come hold it too. It's up to me to go find it, it's up to me to reach out, to touch it and it's up to me to take the journey.

It’s okay if I don’t know how, it’s just one step at a time.

Oh boys ! We know sick-people like you guys enjoy looking at our boobs and asses, I know you guys love cup size D cause it's big and some prefer B, cause you can grab it with one hand ! But please !
